The Liverpool 2024 Prisons Week Lecture

Where is the love? What difference does compassion make in the criminal justice system? Speaker Canon Tim Bryan


Organised by the Liverpool Diocesan Council for Social Aid (LDCSA), Adelaide House Female Approved Premises, the Diocese of Liverpool, and Liverpool Cathedral, and forming part of the Prisons Week of Prayer, this lecture is of particular interest to those impacted by, working in, or concerned with, the criminal justice system, especially those working with women and their families.


This year's events include an afternoon panel discussion and workshop, an evening dinner and our keynote lecture.


This year’s lecture title is ‘Where is the love? What difference does compassion make in the criminal justice system?’ and was presented by Canon Tim Bryan, former Detective Inspector with the Metropolitan Police and senior chaplain for the Prison Service, and the current Chair of the Prisons Week Working Group.
